Bailey is a commercial photographer and director working between Los Angeles and New York City. Born in Maui, Hawaii, it was there that she developed a connection to the natural world and the raw, stripped down experience of being human.
Bailey photographs lifestyle, fashion, portraiture, beauty, travel and fine art imagery. The formal qualities of Bailey’s photographs have rich, environmental colors, natural light and an honest, innately human quality. Her work is shaped by her presence and conviction and is characterized by an embrace of the feminine, a deep appreciation for nature and an honest, intimate portrayal of humanity. In her personal projects she has addressed the influence of place on identity and sisterhood as a formative experience. Her imagery maintains an integrity of emotion and movement in a pursuit to draw empathy out of her viewer. Whether that is joyful or contemplative, she wants them to feel. Her idea of happiness is an afternoon spent on a sailboat under the summer sun - Nikon FM2 is in hand surrounded by family and friends with the humm of Neil Young in the background.
